In this project, we used Indesign to create an emoji. This was the first time I ever used Indesign, and as such, it took me a while to learn it's tool set and controls. Whence I got it down though, I was able to produce this. While I am proud of the detail on the cracks and the idea of the missing large piece in the middle, this piece I feel is largely inconsistent.

For this project, I started with wanting to make a half smile emoji as there isn’t an actual half smile emoji not presented with eyes that causes it to look like its smirking. From there, I gave it more meaning through the use of cracks, representing the idea of putting on a smile, even if you’re literally falling apart at the seams.

As part of this project, we had to turn it in as an electronic book. I attached what that looked like on the right.
