Jeep Model
In this project, we used SolidWorks to model parts of a jeep that we could then 3D print and assemble. From this project, we learned the basics of using SolidWorks and some neat tricks to help us solve common problems.
Tire
We sketched the basic shape of a side of the shape and the revolved it to make a wheel.
We then sketched a circle.
We then uploaded this to 3D studios to add the treads to the tire and add texture. This was then used in the Bad Dreams Unity project.
We sketched the basic shape of a side of the shape and the revolved it to make a wheel.
Hood
We started with a simple sketch of a rectangle and then extruded it to the proper size.
We sketched on the side to create the main shape of the hood and used the cut tool to hollow it out. We also filleted the top corners. Then we sketched on the other side to create the windshield holder.
We then, to finish it up filleted everything to make it look smooth.
We started with a simple sketch of a rectangle and then extruded it to the proper size.
Steering Bar
Extruded a sketch of a rectangle.
Sketched the outline of the top view and cut out the cylinders.
Cut out the rest of the shape to be lower than the side cylinders and then filleted the sides.
Extruded a sketch of a rectangle.
Chassis
After starting with an extruded rectangle, I sketched out all of the small details that would be needed to hollow out to create the main shape.
I sketched boxes that I then, extruded to create the wheel holders. Then I filleted one side and sketched circles on the sides to create holes.
This is the final product.

Head Light
I drew a circle and extruded it.
Then, I beveled it to make it smooth.
The final result.
I drew a circle and extruded it.
Wind Shield
I sketched a rectangle and extrude it.
I then, draw a smaller one and remove it.
To finish up, I filleted the rest of the corners and the one side.
I sketched a rectangle and extrude it.
Gas Can Clip
I sketched a rectangle and extruded it.
Then, I sketched arcs and the straights to create the outline of the shape. Then, I remove the top portion of the shape on the outside to make the top round.
To finish up, I chamfered the ends of the straight to make it look pointed.
I sketched a rectangle and extruded it.
